Week 43: Project and Challenge Announcements

It is SO cold already. There was snow on the ground when I came home from work! It's still October.... Is it obvious that I am thoroughly unprepared for winter? I really dislike being cold.

Moving on however, it is very nearly November. November, is quite literally, just around the corner. Of course, this means one very important thing, and that it that NANOWRIMO is nearly here. I have made attempts at NANOWRIMO over the past few years. Not once have I successfully, or even NEARLY successfully completed it but each year I tell myself "this is the year, I'm going to finish".

If figure, eventually, this goal will blossom into an actuality. Until then I would like to announce that I once more plan on attempting to complete NANOWRIMO. You guys, this is the year! I don't really have any idea yet as to what I want to write, but the intention to write is there...

In addition, I would like to announce that I will be blogging EVERY DAY in November. Several months ago I was searching the interwebs looking for new blogging ideas/prompts, and I came across a 30 day Harry Potter blogging challenge that looked like fun. So, since there are 30 days in November, I've decided that November is the month that I will complete this challenge. Plus, it's a good source of accountability. Not only can I complete the challenge, but I can also update my NANOWRIMO progress so that this year I just might stay on track.

It's going to be a busy, crazy month, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

The End (Kind of)

This is my final blog post that is connected with my year-long project aimed at writing more in the time between my twentieth and twenty-first birthday. It's been an interesting year, full of changes and transitions. While I feel like I've grown in many ways, I've also remained much the same.

As I think about this project, it's difficult to pinpoint any specific changes that were particularly monumental over this past year. If I were a smarter person I would have spent some of my free-time over the past week going over posts from this last year and compiling a list of things to discuss in this final post.

Of course, then I wouldn't be me.

At any rate, I don't want to give the impression that I won't be posting on this blog any more. I still plan to utilize this space although I may not be posting as often as I have been over the past year. I definitely won't be posting daily.

It's been an interesting year, and I've certainly written more than I had in the past several years. I feel like I've definitely taken a major step in the right direction, and look forward to using this experience to jump into the future. I'm currently working on looking into the future and looking for ways to get ready for the future that I want to build. These are exciting times!

NANOWRIMO Fail

NANOWRIMO started last week, and I definitely haven't managed it very well so far. In my defense the last week or so have been rather busy.

Sarah came up to visit for a few days, and between the concert we went to, my classes and work schedule, fellowship and just hanging out I didn't get a lot of writing done. Then of course there was homework to do. I don't think I even really thought about writing.

Then of course I came home on Friday and have been sick since I walked through the door. Saturday is a blur quite honestly. I slept most of the day away. I feel better now, although I'm still not feeling great.

Soon I'm going to have to head towards school so that I can be ready to go to a group meeting at the library, and of course get back to my dorm at a decent time. I'm not a big fan of the time change. It gets dark entirely too early now.

Maybe this week I'll be better about budgeting my time. Hopefully. I'm going to make that my goal this week, better time management.
